The nose will enjoy pepper and gentle roasting aromas such as cocoa and bitter chocolate. After a crisp initial taste, the malt releases more gentle flavours. The texture is dry. A subtle acid kick from the roasting aromas leads to the finale: toffee, toast and cocoa notes gently linger. Dominantly malty, slim, dry.
Nice roasted aroma with caramel. A decent dark lager with just the right amount of bitterness. The first beer of Lemke brewery is still delicious today!
Enjoyed first from tap in Lemke taproom in Berlin, later in bottle.
